AFC Mansfield scored three to take the points at the Forest Town Arena on Saturday versus Leicester Nirvana.

The Bulls switched their focus back on the league after their midweek disappointment with a brace from substitute Kamani Wilson and Tyler Blake rounding up the scoring.

It was Leicester who started the stronger side in the first half with thirty-eight minutes on the clock Nirvana's Koroma got on an end of a nicely delivered cross to put his team in front just before half-time.

With an effective half-time team talk, the Bulls Boss Paul Rockley brought on two fresh faces who ultimately changed the game for the Bulls, Kamani Wilson, and Ewan Mckenna.

Wilson who kept his composure, scored a close-range effort to bring the Bulls back into the game. It wasn't long before the impact player was on the score sheet again beating the keeper with a shot from inside the area.

Blake was determined to add his name to the scoresheet with an attempt to beat the keeper with a lob which unfortunately flew over the bar, although his hard work paid off as he rounded up the scoring in the seventy-sixth minute of the game with a well-placed drive from a difficult angle.

Boss Paul Rockley speaking to Bulls TV was delighted about his team's performance.

" I am delighted with the win over Leicester Nirvana. After a tough month on paper, it was imperative we made up ground on the teams in and around us after a disappointing 45 mins where we were fortunate to be only 1 goal down.

A couple of changes turned the game in our favour, I thought we had a good 30 min spell of pressure where we overpowered them and got the 3 goals. It could maybe have been more.

I did feel the last 5 mins we could have been in for a tense finish as Nirvana came back strong and missed a couple of chances which could have made it a different result on another day.

Overall though we deserved our 3-1 victory and now our focus shifts to Selston on the 10th where we must kick on from this result and build momentum for the remainder of the season.

The Bulls travel to Selston in a mouth-watering local derby which will take place on Saturday 10th December 2022 with a 3pm kick-off.
