REPORT | Bulls 2-2 Wisbech Town

Ten-man AFC took a valuable point from Wisbech Town's visit to the Forest Town Arena, as they came from behind twice after losing Pat Lindley early on.

With only ten minutes on the clock the midfielder was shown a straight red card for violent conduct.

It didn't take long for the visitors to take advantage of the extra man, as Michael Frew edged the Fenmen ahead in style with his inch-perfect volley from the edge of the penalty area.

Despite the early setback, the Bulls fought back and a goalmouth scramble saw Joe Iaciofano poke home his 11th goal in a red shirt and ensure the scores were level at the break.

The visiting side didn't let the long journey northwards affect their performance, and substitute Alex Beck restored their lead 20 minutes into the second half, just four minutes after coming on for Layton Maddison.

But the Bulls refused to stick to the script, and Jordan Annable's late leveller inside the penalty area earned him not only the Man-of-the-Match award but also a good point for AFC to add to the board.

The result sees AFC slip back into the East Division's bottom two, but with a game-in-hand on all three teams surrounding them, the Bulls could dramatically improve their league standing if maximum points are earned.

Rudy Funk's side now turn their attention to the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup fourth round tie against Teversal, to be held at the Forest Town Arena on Tuesday night.
